We are a group of dedicated Virginians who've met over the last 3 to 20 years in our separate work to create better opportunities for young people to succeed. Together, we've come to believe that greater systemic change is possible when we work together. We founded New Schools for Virginia in 2022 to invite all parts of our communities to work together to increase excellent K-12 educational opportunities in Virginia, starting in Richmond.

We represent a variety of backgrounds and interests: youth development, human-centered design, education, and the private sector. We are committed to working alongside engaged parents and brave students so that our education system is great for everyone. We passionately believe in the potential of all of our kids, especially those who currently attend low-performing schools.
